Dinesh Karthik, the wicketkeeper and hitter for India, was very angry when Baba Indrajith was left off the South Zone team for the upcoming Duleep Trophy. Karthik has requested more information about the selection committee’s decision and their reasoning for passing over Indrajith. Even though Indrajith has been one of India’s best hitters in recent years, he has not been chosen for the upcoming Duleep Trophy.
The next Duleep Trophy will be held in Bengaluru, India, starting on June 28. Six teams from different parts of India will participate in the tournament: the North, South, East, West, Central, and North East.
On June 13, all the selectors from the South Zone associations got together to pick who would play for the South Zone in the Duleep Trophy 2023. KS Bharat, Sai Sudharsan, Washington Sundar, and Tilak Varma were among the well-known Indian players on the team. Hanuma Vihari and Mayank Agarwal were chosen as the team’s captain and vice captain, respectively.

Dinesh Karthik was upset that Baba Indrajith was taken out of the lineup, so he asked the selection committee why he wasn’t chosen. “I don’t know what the selection group is doing these days. In the first week of March 2023, Baba Indrajith plays for the rest of India against MP. Since then, he hasn’t played any first-class games, and he isn’t on South Zone’s team for the Duleep trophy. “Can someone tell me why?,” tweeted Karthik.

In the Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League, Indrajith played for Abahani Limited against the Rangpur Tigers. He played for the team three times, but he could only score 19 runs. Before that, he played for the Rest of India team in the Irani Trophy against Madhya Pradesh.
