Dhruv Jurel produced a really strong performance in the gloves during the Duleep Trophy 2024 match between India A and India B at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. He also tied one of the records held by the great MS Dhoni during the exciting match.
Gloveman Jurel, playing for India A, claimed seven catches in the second innings of India B, limiting the Abhimanyu Easwaran-led team to 184. With this feat, he tied MS Dhoni’s record for the most wicketkeeper catches in an inning at the Duleep Trophy. When representing East Zone versus Central Zone in the 2004–05 Duleep Trophy, the previous captain of India accomplished the same thing.
Dhruv Jurel , on the other hand, was a poor batsman, out of the game after only two runs off sixteen balls in the first and a golden duck in the second.
Prior to Dhoni, Sunil Benjamin had held the record. In the 1973 Duleep Trophy final, the previous player for Central Zone versus North Zone had taken six catches and also managed one stumping. The 22-year-old Jurel caught Yashasvi Jaiswal, Abhimanyu Easwaran, Musheer Khan, Sarfaraz Khan, Nitish K Reddy, Sai Kishore, and Navdeep Saini, among other important dismissals. His outstanding work behind the stumps was crucial in assisting India A in limiting the target to 275.
Akash Deep, meanwhile, followed up his four-for in the first innings with a 5/56 total in the second. In addition, Khaleel Ahmed bowled brilliantly and scored three for.

Gill took 35 balls to reach 21, but he lost his wicket. Before Shivam Dube passed away, Jurel and Tanush Kotian were unable to access their accounts for 14.
