Pakistan will host the Champions Trophy in 2025, with play starting in February. There are ominous clouds hanging over the Indian team’s journey to the next country ahead of the main event. According to the BCCI, the team’s trip will depend on the Indian government’s approval, and there is little chance of that happening. Danish Kaneria, a former captain of Pakistan, has said that the Indian team shouldn’t visit Pakistan.
India declined to travel to Pakistan, hence the Asia Cup 2023 was held under a hybrid format instead. Taking a hint from the Asian tournament, Kaneria recommended that India avoid going to Pakistan since the circumstances are unfavorable. Even though the Asia Cup was moved to Sri Lanka, Kaneria proposed that the India games might be held in Dubai.
“Observe the circumstances in Pakistan.” It is my opinion that Pakistan ought to consider hosting the Indian team instead of them. The Champions Trophy will probably be contested in Dubai using a hybrid format, according to Kaneria, who stated that the ICC will make the final decision.
“The players’ safety is the top priority. The second most important thing is respect. I believe BCCI is performing admirably. The choice made by them will have to be accepted by other nations as well. Kaneria continued, “I believe it will be a hybrid model.”
The first concern is security. Danish Kaneria
The PCB called off the opening Test match between Bangladesh and Pakistan in Lahore because the venue was still being built. The PCB stated that the stadium was inadequately suited to host the ICC event, which is why the game was moved to Rawalpindi. Kaneria highlighted the problems and stated that the largest concern is security.

“PCB is equipped, but the infrastructure needs to be upgraded first.” The main worry and major unanswered question is security, he continued.
