Pakistan will host the Champions Trophy in 2025, with play starting in February. There are ominous clouds hanging over the Indian team’s journey to the next country ahead of the main event. Danish Kaneria, a former captain of Pakistan, has said that the Indian team shouldn’t visit Pakistan.
India declined to travel to Pakistan, hence the Asia Cup 2023 was held under a hybrid format instead. Taking a hint from the Asian tournament, Kaneria recommended that India avoid going to Pakistan since the circumstances are unfavorable. Even though the Asia Cup was moved to Sri Lanka, Kaneria proposed that the India games might be held in Dubai.

The PCB called off the opening Test match between Bangladesh and Pakistan in Lahore because the venue was still being built. The PCB stated that the stadium was inadequately suited to host the ICC event, which is why the game was moved to Rawalpindi.
