As the last moments of the most spectacular Test series between India and England drew to a close, more than 170 million people signed up for JioHotstar, the most ever for a digital Test series.

The fifth day of the fifth Test at the Oval reached a top concurrency of 13 million on JioHotstar, the highest-ever for a Test match on digital, as the series approached its incredible, nerve-wracking finish. With an incredible 65 billion minutes of viewing time on JioHotstar, the England-India series captured India’s interest with its suspenseful contests and captivating turns.

The series signalled a change of leadership and a reinvigorated desire to regain dominance in red-ball cricket in addition to the start of the Indian campaign for the ICC World Test Championship (WTC) 2025–27 cycle.

It was available on JioHotstar in five different languages: English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada.

India’s rich Test history in England was reviewed in a special piece called When India Challenged the Crown during the live broadcast.

With the start of the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup India 2025 on September 30, JioStar will keep its viewers and cricket enthusiasts at the forefront of its efforts.
