The ongoing fifth and final Test of the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy between India and England began at The Oval, has been affected by rain as the first session on Day 1 was severely impacted by the weather.

Rain showers in the morning delayed the toss, and after only 23 overs of play, during which India reached 72/2, the players were forced off again due to a sudden shower.

The forecast shows drizzle and thunderstorm warnings on Thursday. Looking ahead, the rest of the Test witnesses some hope for clearer conditions from Day 3 onward.

Day 2: According to AccuWeather, Day 2 (Friday, August 1) is expected to be the second-most weather-affected day of the Test. There is a 25% chance of rain, and although thunderstorms are not expected (5% chance), dark skies and occasional showers could delay sessions. Cloud cover remains at 57%, with winds hovering at 28 km/h.

Day 3: Saturday (August 2) will have some good news for fans and players alike. The forecast predicts 0% chance of rain with sun coming out. Cloud cover will drop to just 6%, and temperatures will hover around 26°C.

Day 4: Sunday (August 3) will once again be mostly sunny and only a 7% chance of rain. Cloud cover is set to be low at 11%. The pitch, already favoring batters, could begin to assist bowlers more as the day progresses.

Day 5: Monday (August 4), the final day of the series, might witness chances of rain (13%) and cloud cover at 19%, but the overall weather is largely positive. There is only a 1% probability of thunderstorms, and temperatures will reach a high of 28°C.
