As the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 drama unfolds, English batter Danni Wyatt-Hodge has put on her predictor’s hat. According to the seasoned hitter, England will compete in the twenty-team tournament’s final this year. She disclosed that the teams that are most likely to play the match on March 8 at the Narendra Modi Stadium are India, South Africa, and New Zealand.
Danni Wyatt-Hodge was somewhat confused, though, when he chose the opponent the Three Lions might face in the major T20 event’s championship match.
She also disclosed in her exclusive interview with CricTracker that she greatly admires Abhishek Sharma’s batting purpose, even in light of the player’s shortcomings in the current campaign.

Although England is the first team in this edition to advance to the semi-final of the T20 World Cup, do you think they haven’t yet shown their best?
I fear that I will be biased, but I believe that England will end up winning. It could end up being a fantastic England versus. India final. Simply put, England hasn’t fired yet. They’ve advanced to the semi-finals without playing their best cricket, so it’s probably for the best that they haven’t played that flawless game. Jos Buttler and Phil Salt are arguably the most potent opening duo in the game, and they haven’t yet reached their breaking point.
It will be very fun to watch them recover their form towards the conclusion of the competition, in my opinion. Jos knows his game and has a tonne of experience. Although he knows his game better than anybody else and is aware that a massive score is imminent, he will be frustrated with the way his tournament has gone thus far.
As a batter, it’s never pleasant. Like a lot of others around the world, I have personally been there. It’s not simple. However, you must simply have faith in the process and continue. Keep trying. After a few bounds, everything suddenly makes sense once more. He can defeat any bowling attack in the world once it happens.
It will undoubtedly be an extremely thrilling tournament finale because England has match-winners across their squad. Who do you predict to play in the T20 World Cup final?
India vs. England, or perhaps England vs. South Africa, is what I believe will happen. It might even be New Zealand vs. India. I genuinely foresaw those four teams prior to the competition commencing, and they are four enormous teams.
However, T20 cricket is a humorous game. The game is theirs if one or two players are having a good day. It will just depend on who shows up on the day, who thinks ahead, who prepares properly, and who remains the most composed under duress.
Although I may be a little biased, I believe England has a great chance because they haven’t yet displayed their greatest cricket, which is still to come. However, anything may happen to India. To defeat them would be a tremendous accomplishment for any club. It will be quite interesting because they most likely hadn’t played their best cricket until recently against Zimbabwe.
Throughout the tournament, South Africa has been great. The West Indies could also infiltrate. The main goal is to excite the audience and those of us watching at home, so it’s going to be quite exciting. I have been watching a lot of this World Cup because I really adore Twenty20 cricket. It’s been incredible to observe.
The associate teams have also performed admirably. Nepal was excellent, Scotland performed admirably against England, and Zimbabwe was decent. It works well for such teams. I had never paid much attention to Nepal previously, but their World Cup strategy truly impressed me. Italy also produced some excellent cricket matches. Seeing these teams take on some of the world’s top sides is incredible.
Which Indian batter’s batting style is your favourite right now, and why?
Abhishek Sharma is someone I really admire. With the exception of yesterday, when he reached his fifty, I believe he has battled in this World Cup. However, I adore his motivation and the way he goes out there and succeeds. He doesn’t waste any time from the first ball. You can be certain that he will immediately try to push boundaries.
Because there are only two fielders out, he has been assigned to the top of the order, which is one of the hardest but also one of the best spots to bat. It is your responsibility as an opening batsman to exhibit courage and intent, and he accomplishes just that.
It doesn’t matter if it doesn’t come off. He’s going to try again. He can win a match. I’ve believed he has an exceptional technique ever since he first appeared in the IPL. He backs his strengths, maintains his composure, stands tall, and is simply courageous.
