In three deliveries during the current Delhi Capitals (DC) vs. Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) match, Axar Patel got rid of Jacob Bethell and Devdutt Padikkal. Notably, on Sunday, April 27, the game took place at the Arun Jaitley Stadium.

A few runs and an equal number of wickets were taken in the third over of the second innings. Not much force was actually behind Bethell’s pull shot. The ball travelled at a deep backward square leg in the direction of Karun Nair. Karun did an amazing job running forward and making a smart catch.

After a clumsy cut shot, Padikkal inside-edged Axar Patel faster delivery onto his stumps.

The RCB won the toss earlier in the evening and chose to field first. DC got off to a good start hitting the bat. The hosts had an explosive start thanks to Abishek Porel (28 off 11). At the conclusion of the powerplay, the Axar-led team was 52/2.

Former RCB captain Faf du Plessis, Abishek’s opening partner, was unable to get going, though. The South African top-order batsman was dismissed by Virat Kohli and Krunal Pandya, ending Du Plessis’ arduous middle-field stint.

Additionally, KL Rahul, another former RCB player, struggled to find his rhythm. Only forty-one runs could be scored from his knock of 39 balls. Not a single four was hit during his innings. Axar’s trip with the bat was also lacklustre. Only 15 deliveries out of 13 could be registered by the DC skipper.

With Stubbs’ late fee, DC surpasses 160.

Tristan Stubbs’ late burst propelled DC to 162/8. For the RCB, Bhuvneshwar Kumar took three wickets. The most frugal bowler for the visitors was Suyash Sharma. After his period of four overs, Krunal’s stats were 1/28.

Before the match, each team had won six games. Both DC and RCB were eager to cross the finish line in order to advance one step towards earning a postseason spot. This season, both teams have looked excellent, and they will be hoping to win the trophy for the first time in IPL history.
