Craig Overton, an England fast bowler, re-signed for Season 3 and will be looking forward to a new chapter at the reigning SA20 winners. After signing on as a Wildcard for Season 2, Overton was forced to sit out the entire competition because of an injury. Being a member of Somerset’s T20 Blast championship-winning team the previous season, the lanky fast bowler has experience playing in the Twenty20 format.
In England’s Hundred competition, he recently played for the Southern Brave and was named Player of the Match, demonstrating his excellent form.
On the Sunrisers Eastern Cape’s roster of pre-signed players, Craig Overton is joined by fellow countryman Zak Crawley and returnee Roelof van der Merwe.

With the addition of Proteas batsman David Bedingham for SA20 Season 3, Sunrisers Eastern Cape have strengthened their batting lineup.
As the highest run scorer in the English County Championship for Durham with 926 runs at an average of 71.23, Bedingham will be the Sunrisers’ Wildcard pick. He has been in outstanding form. With 225 runs at an average of 37.50 and an amazing strike rate of 163.04 in the T20 Blast, the 30-year-old has also been hitting it sweetly in the shortest format.
In the Caribbean right now, the former Wynberg Boys’ High School sensation is getting ready for a two-match series against the West Indies with the Proteas Test team. In his four Test matches so far, he has averaged 49.57 with a century and two half-centuries.

Bedingham will serve as Tristan Stubbs’ backup wicketkeeper for the Sunrisers Eastern Cape. The Sunrisers Eastern Cape have pre-signed Bedingham and Overton in addition to Roelof van der Merwe and Zak Crawley. In Season 3, the Sunrisers Eastern Cape will be aiming for a historic three SA20 crowns.
