As seen during a gold medal match at the 2024 Paralympics between India’s Kumar Nitesh and Great Britain’s Daniel Bethell, it seems hard to have a talk about sports without bringing up legendary Indian batsman Virat Kohli.
During a break in play, the English pundit mentioned Nitesh as a role model, mentioning his achievements at the Asian Para Games, the 2019 and 2022 World Championships.

The pundit referred to Virat Kohli as “the wonderful Indian cricketer” and noted that he had led the Indian team at one point.
He also emphasised how the 35-year-old was unquestionably a major inspiration for many Indian athletes. In reference to the game, Nitesh emerged victorious, defeating his British opponent. India won their third gold medal at the 2024 Paralympic Games in Paris after a thrilling third set that ended 23-21 in Nitesh’s favour.
After scoring 76 runs off of 59 balls, Virat Kohli, a key member of the T20 World Cup 2024 team, was named Player of the Match. After winning the Champions Trophy in 2013 and the 50-over World Cup in 2011, the historic victory was Kohli’s third ICC championship.

India won 137 of the 213 games played under Kohli’s leadership, with one match ending in a tie, eleven games in draws, and four matches being abandoned. Kohli’s captaincy oversaw a number of unforgettable moments that turned the squad into a premier force.
