Chris Gayle Sarcastically Named “Private Jet Category Players” Are the Most Expensive Players in the 2023 Indian Premier League Auction

At the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 Player Auction, all-rounders Sam Curran (who was purchased for INR 18.5 crore by Punjab Kings), Cameron Green (who was purchased for INR 17.5 crore by Mumbai Indians), and Ben Stokes (who was purchased for INR 16.25 crore by Chennai Super Kings) became the three most expensive buys.

When the Punjab Kings won the bid for Curran at 18.5 crore rupees, he became the most expensive player in the history of the Indian Premier League auction, surpassing Chris Morris’ record from the previous year.
