Tamim Iqbal has showered the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) with accolades for seeing to it that the Indian side has been successful over the years. Tamim made a comparison between the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) and the BCCI, expressing the opinion that for the board to be successful, everyone involved’s vision must align.
India has had remarkable success recently, having advanced to the finals of the World Test Championship in 2021 and 2023, winning the 2024 T20 World Cup, and facing off against the United States in the ODI World Cup 2023. However, Bangladesh has a history of lying and flattering, particularly during ICC events.
“Those at the top must have a well-defined plan for what they hope to accomplish. The question is whether the Board shares the captain’s and coach’s desire for the trophy to be won. You may heap all the credit on Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli in India, but the team wouldn’t have accomplished as much if the BCCI hadn’t been so powerful, Tamim Iqbal stated.
You must give him some time before making a decision. Tamim Iqbal
Tamim acknowledged that the past board stakeholders had not done everything incorrectly and contrasted the present BCB administration with the previous one. He acknowledged their accomplishments while acknowledging that he and a few others at the BCB might not have agreed on everything.
“Well, there are some ifs and buts involved. Three former captains were active in the BCB’s management during the previous regime. Was the previous Board incompetent? No, you cannot ignore the fact that they accomplished a great deal of good. Even though I may have had problems with two or three BCB employees, that does not imply that they are without accomplishments.

Since the president is a cricket player this time, you’ll need to give him some time before passing judgement, Iqbal stated.
