There are five different T20 events that the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) 2024 will conflict with, according to the fixtures that have been issued.
BPL 2024 will take place from January 19 to March 1, according to an announcement made by the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BC). Notably, January 19–February 17 is when the ILT20 will take place in the UAE. The dates of the SA20 league in South Africa are January 10–February 10. The Australian Big Bash League (BBL) will continue until January 24 while the Super Smash in New Zealand will take place from December 19 to January 28. The BBL (Big Bash League) began on December 7.
The PSL (Pakistan Super League) 2024 might be the largest obstacle to the BPL because the Bangladesh league depends heavily on Pakistani players for its competition, and because the PSL is set to take place between mid-February and mid-March, there may be a lot of player availability issues.
Up to 25 Pakistani athletes participated in the 2023 BPL, with players like Iftikhar Ahmed and Muhammad Rizwan displaying their skill. But since the dates coincide, it might not be possible this time.
The Comilla Victorians want to take back the throne.
It will be intriguing to observe how the different teams perform as the newest BPL season draws near. Following a fierce group stage, Sylhet Strikers, Comilla Victorians, Rangpur Riders, and Fortune Barishal advanced to the tournament’s knockout stages in the previous season.
The Victorians came in second place, with the Strikers taking first position. Victorians advanced to the top match in the elimination stages after defeating Strikers in Qualifier 1. Conversely, Rangpur Riders emerged victorious from the Eliminator against Barishal and proceeded to play Strikers in Qualifier 2.
Nevertheless, Strikers had an outstanding performance and went up against Comilla Victorians in the top match; Imrul Kayes guided Victorians to victory.
