Bhuvneshwar Kumar Is Very Close To Setting A Major Twenty20 International Record

Veteran fast bowler Bhuvneshwar Kumar is close to breaking a significant milestone in the Twenty20 International version of the game. The series that India will play against New Zealand will consist of three matches, and Bhuvneshwar Kumar will be bowling for India.

If Bhuvneshwar is successful in this series against New Zealand and takes four wickets, he will surpass Yuzvendra Chahal as the bowler who has taken the most wickets in a calendar year.

In the 30 matches that have been played so far in the year 2022, he has collected 36 wickets. Joshua Brian Little of Ireland is the current holder of the record for the most wickets taken in a single calendar year.

Little, who had an outstanding performance in the Twenty20 World Cup, has collected 39 wickets thus far in 2022.

India and New Zealand have agreed to play a total of six one-day internationals and three Twenty20 Internationals.

On Friday, November 18, the first Twenty20 international match will be played at the Sky Stadium in Wellington.
