“It’s a different feeling because we hadn’t played in the playoffs for the last three seasons,” said Bhuvneshwar Kumar in response to SRH making it to the final.
It’s an amazing sensation. With the way we were performing this season, we thought we would make it to the championship game, after which it would only take one match. Everyone is pleased with their contributions; the teamwork was excellent. Now that we are in the final, we will undoubtedly win the trophy because winning the IPL title is such a tremendous accomplishment.
On Friday, May 24, the Sunrisers Hyderabad defeated the Rajasthan Royals by a score of 36 runs at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai, securing their spot in the IPL 2024 final. Hyderabad, batting first, set a goal of 176 runs, and they won by keeping Rajasthan to 139 runs.
The Kolkata Knight Riders will now play the Sunrisers in the championship game. Shahbaz Ahmed‘s (18 runs, 3/23) performance was dissected by JioCinema IPL specialists Anil Kumble and Shane Watson, while Bhuvneshwar Kumar (0/33) and Rahul Tripathi (37 runs) only talked to JioCinema on Match Center Live.
Regarding his performance, Rahul Tripathi said, “It was difficult to have to wait for my opportunity.” Even when I wasn’t playing, I was considering how I could contribute to the squad and present myself in the best possible light when the chance arose. That way of thinking was helpful to me. I was ready to make a meaningful contribution whenever I could.”
Regarding Shahbaz Ahmed, Anil Kumble said, “He had the cricket acumen even with his former team, RCB.” He arrived in a different role and continued to bat even now. Indeed, he bowled with great accuracy and length. All you have to do to bowl on Chennai wickets is bowl stump-to-stump and with the correct length. Nothing else needs to be on your mind. Shabhaz succeeded in spinning the ball, hitting the pitch, and bowling a decent length where it would strike the stumps. With the bat, he batted incredibly well in tandem with Klaasen. Their team was losing wickets, and his role was to wait for Klaasen to arrive before taking a risk. He used that effectively.”

Regarding SRH’s spin bowling, Shane Watson said, “They didn’t go for many runs, but they also took wickets.” With an economy rate of 5.9 runs, the spin bowling unit is performing flawlessly. Conversely, the spinners for the Rajasthan Royals, who I felt had a huge edge because of Chahal and Ashwin, had no such effect. Since the conditions were visibly different in the second inning, they didn’t try to rip the ball or turn it. A huge thumbs up to the Sunrisers spinners for an outstanding performance.”
