Before IPL 2023, Michael Vaughan makes a bold prediction: "I think it's going to be Rajasthan Royals' year."

Michael Vaughan, the former captain of England, has made a huge prediction about the 2023 Indian Premier League (IPL). On March 31, Gujarat Titans (GT) will play Chennai Super Kings at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. This will be the first game of the 16th season of the tournament. The cash-rich league, on the other hand, will end on May 28.

The 48-year-old said that he was excited for the IPL 2023 to start. He also said that the Rajasthan Royals (RR), who came in second place last year, will win this year. In the 2022 IPL final, RR lost to the Gujarat Titans, a team that had just started up.

Vaughan used Twitter to make a huge guess about who would win the next IPL. “I think this is Rajasthan Royals’ year. In late May, they will be able to take home the trophy. He tweeted, “#OnOn #IPL2023.”

The first game of the IPL 2023 will be between Rajasthan Royals and Sunrisers Hyderabad.
Rajasthan Royals ended their 2022 IPL season on a high note. Led by Kerala-born cricketer Sanju Samson, RR won nine of their 14 league stage matches and finished second in the points table. They lost to Gujarat Lions in the first qualifier, but then beat Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the second qualifier to reach the final. However, RR, who won the IPL title in the first edition in 2008, were unable to win it again.

Rajasthan Royals will be trying to win their second IPL title this year. They have made some good additions to their team by paying INR 5.75 crore for Jason Holder, INR 1.5 crore for Adam Zampa, and INR 1 crore for Joe Root at the IPL Auction last year. The Royals will play the 2016 champions Hyderabad (SRH) in their first match on April 2 at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad.
