On the day following the Board of Cricket Control in India (BCCI) annual general meeting, the newly constructed National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru will open. The BCCI has confirmed that the inauguration will take place on Saturday, September 28.
The state associations received the information via email from BCCI secretary Jay Shah.
The email exchange concerned the invitation to the modern facility’s inauguration on the specified date. It also included an elaborate list of the facilities that will be included in the service.
“I hope you are doing well as I write this. We are pleased to invite you to the eagerly awaited September 28 opening of the new National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru, India. Three Olympic-sized playing fields, 45 practice pitches, indoor cricket pitches, an Olympic-sized swimming pool and cutting-edge facilities for sports science, rehabilitation and training will all be present at the new NCA. The existing and future cricket players in our country will benefit from this initiative by having the best setting available to hone their abilities in! The text of Shah’s email was cited by.
Shah also sent out a warm invitation via email to all the stakeholders to attend the big day.
Shah continued, “We sincerely hope that you can spare some time from your busy schedule and grace us with your presence. Your support in this ground-breaking project has been most valuable.”
The BCCI is planning to look for a new chief.
Currently serving as NCA chairman is VVS Laxman. It won’t be long before his term ends. Due to personal issues, the board is unwilling to serve another term and is currently searching for a new leader that can anticipate and succeed Laxman.

Notably, the NCA is accessible to both the present regulars and the candidates for participation in the national setup. It is still unclear what will happen to the former NCA, which is located next to the famous M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in the city.
