Ashok Malhotra, Jatin Paranjape, and Sulakshana Naik are all former players for India and currently serve as national selectors. The three of them will be joining Sulakshana Naik in the Cricket Advisory Committee (CAC), which will be given the responsibility of choosing the new selection panel at the end of this month.
Malhotra came in as a replacement for the former India seamer Madan Lal, and Paranjape took the position of Rudra Pratap Singh, who is now working as a talent scout for the Mumbai Indians. From the previous committee, only Naik, a former member of the women’s international team, remained.
“Malhotra has competed for India in a total of seven tests and twenty one-day internationals (ODIs), and he most recently held the position of President of the Indian Cricketers’ Association.
In addition to his four One-Day International appearances for India, Paranjape served on the senior men’s selection Committee “Jay Shah, secretary of the BCCI, was interviewed for a news release and quoted stating.
The BCCI had dismissed the whole selection panel in November, with Chetan Sharma serving as the panel’s head. Harvinder Singh, Sunil Joshi, and Debasish Mohanty were the three other members of the group.
It is believed that Chetan has reapplied with Harvinder, despite the fact that he was kicked from the team without any fanfare and given a negative performance report following India’s loss in the semifinals of the T20 World Cup.
Both Joshi and Mohanty, whose tenure has come to an end, have made the decision not to reapply.
Nayan Mongia, Venkatesh Prasad, Maninder Singh, Shiv Sunder Das, Subroto Banerjee, Salil Ankola, Amay Khurasiya, Reetinder Singh Sodhi, Nikhil Chopra, and Atul Wassan are just a few of the notable people who have expressed interest in the position. Other applicants include Shiv Sunder Das, Subroto Banerjee, Salil Ankola, and
