Barbados Batter Renuka Singh Dismissed with an Inswinger from Renuka Singh

During the women’s Twenty20 cricket Group A match at the Commonwealth Games on Wednesday, pacer Renuka Singh took four wickets, which contributed to Team India’s victory over Barbados by a score of 100 runs.

The team led by Harmanpreet Kaur advanced to the semifinals thanks to the victory in this match. India knocked out Barbados for 62 runs after they had posted a total score of 162. Aside from all of these victories, the one thing that everyone was talking about was the inswinger that Renuka used to get rid of Aaliyah Alleyne. After Renuka delivered an inswinger at Alleyne during the 5th over of Barbados’ batting innings, the batsman was left absolutely perplexed by the delivery.

The angle of the ball caused it to nip back, and the batter representing Barbados, for some inexplicable reason, decided not to attempt any shots. Renuka ended up taking four wickets in the match, and earlier in the tournament, she had got the same number of wickets against Australia.

After being given the opportunity to bat first, India scored a respectable 162 runs without losing a wicket thanks to a splendid unbeaten half-century from Jemimah Rodrigues (56 not out off 46 balls) and a 43-ball opening knock by Shafali Verma. Renuka then bowled an outstanding spell, which caused the Barbados batsmen to be confused, and the Indians were able to limit Barbados’ score to 62 for 8 after 20 overs. Harmanpreet Kaur, Sneh Rana, Meghna Singh, and Radha Yadav all contributed by taking one wicket apiece to the team’s total.

Kyshona Knight finished with 16 points to lead Barbados in scoring, while Shakera Selman finished with 12 points. Seven of their batters were unable to reach the double-digit mark for their batting average. Earlier in the contest, Barbados’ innings against Australia ended with them being bowled out for 64 runs. Australia went on to win by nine wickets.

Following Australia, who finished first in Group A with six points from three wins, India finished in second place in the group with four points from two victories. In their previous encounters, they had a victory over Pakistan but a defeat against Australia. On Saturday, we shall have the games for the semifinals.
