Shakib Al Hasan will make his comeback to Bangladesh one-day cricket team in the 16-man squad that was revealed on Thursday in preparation for India’s next tour.
Shakib skipped Bangladesh most recent two One-Day International (ODI) series, which were played against West Indies and Zimbabwe, but he captained the national team at the Twenty20 World Cup in Australia.
Batsmen Najmul Hossain and Yasir Ali also made their way back into the one-day side. On the other hand, batsman Mosaddek Hossain, spinner Taijul Islam, and paceman Shoriful Islam were not selected.
India are scheduled to play their first bilateral series in Bangladesh since 2015 when they visit there on December 1.
After the three One-Day Internationals, both teams will compete in two Test matches. The first two ODIs will be played in Dhaka on December 4 and 7, followed by the third on December 10 in Chittagong.
During India’s most recent trip to Bangladesh, the sole Test match ended in a draw due to rain, while Bangladesh prevailed in the One-Day International series by a score of 2-1.
