After a two-game Test series victory against Pakistan in their backyard, the Bangladesh cricket team is scheduled to return home on September 4. Two groups of the side departed Pakistan on September 3; the first group returned home at 11:30 p.m. from the United Arab Emirates, while the second group arrived at 2:00 a.m. from Qatar. All 16 players, including Shakib Al Hasan, will be present, along with some of the coaching staff.
It is important to note that Shakib has left for the UK and will not be joining the team.
On September 9, the great all-around player will represent Surrey in the County Championship. But the remainder of the team will begin preparing for their next tasks, according to the Daily Star. India will play Bangladesh in two Test matches and three Twenty20 Internationals. On September 15, the team is scheduled to depart for India. Regarding the first Test of the series, which is scheduled for September 19 in Chennai, Bangladesh will be joined by seasoned player Shakib Al Hasan on the day of their departure for India.
Bangladesh will not be in the WTC final.
Bangladesh must perform a miracle in order to go to the World Test Championship 2023–25 cycle final, as they have multiple Test series ahead of them. Following their two-test victory over Pakistan, Bangladesh has surged to fourth position in the rankings. After six Test matches, the team has 33 points after winning three and losing three.
The team will be looking to put their best foot forward and hopefully upset India ahead of a challenging visit against them. With six victories, two defeats, and one tie in nine games, the hosts of the next series are presently leading the WTC standings.
