Back in Mumbai, Virat Kohli is ready to begin training for the upcoming Asia Cup.

Former Indian captain Virat Kohli has returned to Mumbai following a two-week break in Europe. While travelling through Europe with his family, Kohli visited London, Paris, and Spain. But now that he is home, he is prepared to begin the preparations for the Asia Cup T20 Cricket in the United Arab Emirates.

Virat’s name was left off of the recently announced India vs. Zimbabwe ODI series, and media reports claim that Virat wants to focus on the major tournaments and is anxious to help India win the following two major tournaments. The forthcoming Asia Cup, which is set to begin on August 27, will feature the run-machine Kohli as his next appearance.

Widely regarded as the king of the Indian team for all of his past exploits, Kohli is currently going through a rough patch in his professional life. Since November 2019, the right-handed batter has made every effort to reach the century mark, but he hasn’t been successful.

He used to lead India to victories by scoring the majority of runs for his team. However, Kohli has been suffering with his form for the last several years.

England series performance of Virat Kohli
He played in the most recent international series against England in July, but Kohli failed to display any signs of regaining his form there either, scoring just 31 runs in two test innings. Just 12 runs were scored by him in 2 T20Is. While he only scored 33 points in two ODI matches.

Given his lacklustre performance in England, many detractors believe he should make room for another strong batter, particularly in India’s T20 lineup. Deepak Hooda, who was chosen in Kohli’s place, demonstrated the ability to play at no. 3 in the T20Is while Kohli was absent from the two games against Ireland and the first T20 match against England.

However, Kohli has stated that he is fired up and wants to help India win the Asia Cup and the ICC T20 World Cup in 2022. And we’ll see him in action at the upcoming Asia Cup very soon.

In addition to going through a difficult year, Kohli lost his position as India’s captain. However, Jaffer placed Kohli in the No. 3 position, claiming that this is his “natural” position given that Rohit Sharma, the captain, and KL Rahul are the Indian Twenty20 team’s openers.
The household mainstay also discussed his wonderful banter with Michael Vaughan, which frequently has fans in stitches. “I don’t like it when Tom, Dick, and Harry come and make fun of India. I believe that if I get the opportunity, I should respond “the Indian stated.
