In the last over of the batting powerplay, South Delhi Superstarz skipper Ayush Badoni continued his unbeaten run by hitting three straight maximums off the bowling of left-arm orthodox Manan Bhardwaj. After five overs, the Superstarz were 47/1. They had already started the innings quickly, even though they lost Sarthak Ray on the second delivery of the third over.
At that moment, Badoni made the decision to skip down the track and launch one back over the bowler’s head. Then with the highest level of grace around that stroke, came a lofted on-drive past the long-on fence. After that, he unleashed a barrage of sweep shots from his arsenal of strokemaking techniques.
The fact that such deliveries were made from the fourth stump, where Badoni was able to deliver the ball to the same deep, empty square-leg region, was even more amazing. Consequently, following the powerplay, the hitter led his team to an even more impressive score. The fans at the Arun Jaitley Stadium witnessed an incredible innings as the batsmen Priyansh Arya and Mahendra Singh Badoni tormented their way to incredible hundreds of runs.
