When compared to the highest demand for an India Test series in 2018–19, the five-Test Border-Gavaskar Trophy series has experienced an astounding 67% surge in demand.
Naturally, cricket fans from all over the world flocked to the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) on Boxing Day, making it the hottest venue. Furthermore, ticket sales for the Sydney New Year’s Test were good due to the popular McGrath Day events, which demonstrated the willingness of the fans to participate in the yearly charity event.
Significant interest was also shown in Brisbane, as many supporters expressed their eagerness to return to the Gabba, the site of India’s epic historic victory in the 2020–21 series. Brisbane’s robust sales figures attest to the Border-Gavaskar Trophy’s enduring appeal and spirit of competition.

Prior to the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, Cricket Australia announced that fan zones specifically for Indian cricket fans would be established. Part of CA’s Multicultural Action Plan, this programme aims to provide fans from a variety of backgrounds great experiences and to promote inclusivity.

This summer, Cricket Australia is going to make sure that Indian fans have an amazing time. All five of the sites for the much awaited Border-Gavaskar Trophy, including the historic Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) and Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG), will have designated seating spaces.
November 22 in Perth will mark the start of the Test series, with a Day-Night Test in Adelaide on December 6. The renowned Boxing Day Test at the MCG, the Gabba on December 14, and the Pink Test at the SCG in January will be the next matches in the series.
