On the other hand, Jadeja and Ashwin contributed 86 and 113 runs, respectively, to assist India amass 339 runs in the game’s opening innings. In addition, Ashwin went on to secure India’s victory with his six-wicket second-inning effort, which earned him the Player of the Match award.
Good breaks occur between games: Ravichandran Ashwin
For many years, Ashwin and Jadeja have been a vital component of India’s team. Following the first Test victory, Ashwin grabbed front stage and discussed his friendship with Jadeja. He even acknowledged that he envied Jadeja’s fielding skills.
“His tale has been incredibly encouraging. I’ve felt so at ease and collected in the dressing room on numerous times during the past three to four years when he’s come in to bat. Ashwin was reported by NDTV as saying, “It’s such an inspirational story about how he’s found his off-stump, how he’s contributed.”
“Jadeja is a fire in the field. On the pitch, he is unstoppable. Overall, I’m envious of him. Though I greatly like him, I am jealous of him. Over the past four to five years, I’ve grown to respect him even more than I did before,” he continued.
Additionally, Ashwin discussed the need of maintaining optimal physical health even at the age of 38. The seasoned all-rounder emphasised how having a few days between games has allowed him to adjust his training schedule.

“The intervals between games are enjoyable. I’m hoping for brief windows so I can continue working on improving my fitness. For me, it’s more important to be physically fit to play through the season than it is to have skill, stated Ashwin.
