As veteran Indian batter Murali Vijay calls his quits on his international career, Rohit Sharma takes the lead in paying tribute to him

On Monday, experienced hitter Murali Vijay revealed that he will be retiring from all forms of international cricket. India’s captain Rohit Sharma extended his congratulations to Vijay. Vijay represented India in 87 matches and amassed 4,490 runs during his time there.

The opening batter has participated for their national team in a total of 61 test matches, during which they have scored 3982 runs for an average of 38.29. The majority of their appearances have been in the Test format.

In addition, he played for India in 9 Twenty20 Internationals and 17 One-Day Internationals. Through his Twitter account, Rohit sent his best wishes for the batter, who is 38 years old, in the years to come.

“Monka congratulations on the success of your career, bro; it was a pleasure to see you perform some of your masterpieces, in particular while I was in Australia. Good luck ahead buddy @mvj888, “sent out a tweet Rohit.

Cheteshwar Pujara, another batter for India, joined Rohit in tweeting, saying, “It was a blast getting to compete against you, @mvj888. Congratulations for having such a successful career. I hope that you find success in everything that you do in the future.”

“Well done monk @mvj888. I’d like to offer my congratulations on a successful career and best wishes for a happy retirement “Ravichandran Ashwin, an all-rounder for India, made the statement on Twitter.

Vijay acknowledged in a heartfelt message on Twitter that he is open to exploring new options and is excited about the prospect of doing so. Following the conclusion of the “BCCI chapter,” Vijay is currently seeking for chances in other countries.

The Test match between India and Australia in 2018 was Vijay’s final international outing for India.

Vijay expressed his dissatisfaction with the indifferent treatment he received earlier this month, particularly in regard to the support he received from the team administration. Vijay stated that he could have experimented with a few more things if the team management had supported him in the same manner that they supported Sehwag.

“To tell you the truth, I didn’t have the independence that Virender Sehwag promised, and I regret it. I did not receive the same things that Sehwag did in his life. If I had been able to secure support of that nature and open communication channels, I might have also given it a shot.

The backing of the squad and how you can contribute to the team on an international level are the most important things to consider.

Because of the high level of competition, you won’t have very many opportunities to test out new strategies “Vijay mentioned to WV Raman on Sportstar what he had said.
