As the pressure mounts on K.L. Rahul, Dinesh Karthik doesn’t hold back: “That is not acceptable…”

K.L. Rahul who is widely regarded as one of the batters with the highest level of technical proficiency in the game, has not had much success in recent years.

KL Rahul struggled mightily with the bat during the two-match Test series that India played against Bangladesh, making a total of 57 runs over the course of four innings for an average of 14.25.

The criticism that Rahul received as a result of his performance in the Twenty20 World Cup in 2002 was substantial, and the assignments that followed didn’t assist him very much either. Dinesh Karthik, a seasoned wicket-keeper batter for India, shares the sentiment that Rahul is running out of time to demonstrate his worth.

“I would give KL Rahul those couple of Test matches, but if things don’t go the way that KL Rahul wants them to… The fact that he has participated in over 40 Tests despite having a score in the mid-30s on average is the one factor that may be said to count against him.

That is not appropriate for the beginning of the presentation. That is without a doubt one of the lowest averages among Indian players who have competed in at least 35 test matches.

That is unquestionably something that he needs to put more effort into. That is going to be going through his head. It is imperative for him to get a couple of hundreds against Australia if he wishes to solidify his position on the Test team.
