The Indian team’s pace assault at the T20 World Cup 2024 was spearheaded by Arshdeep Singh and Jasprit Bumrah. Even though Arshdeep went above and above to secure vital wickets for India, particularly in the dying stages, Bumrah was at his most deadly.
In the last match against South Africa, the bowler conceded just four runs in a nerve-wracking 19th over while defending 18 runs off the last over against Pakistan.
Along with Afghanistan’s Fazalhaq Farooq, the left-arm bowler claimed 17 wickets to tie for the most in the competition. Although there were rumours that the powerful Bumrah, a former Pakistani cricket player, would eclipse him, Ramiz Raja asserted that the 25-year-old was really flourishing under the direction of the elite Indian pacer.
While several of the bowlers in India’s attack were struck, most of them produced strong performances with their accurate bowling and cunning on flat surfaces that assess your bowling ability, reputation, and qualifications. Raja stated on his YouTube channel, “On that topic, Arshdeep Singh’s name immediately comes to mind.

“With Bumrah present, Arshdeep is learning from him and isn’t feeling pressured by her presence. Bumrah ke hote hue, ye craft seekh bhi rahe hain, par unse dab nahi rahe hain.” He needs to stand by himself and demonstrate that he is on level with Bumrah, if not superior to him. Therefore, Arshdeep’s improvement depends greatly on his ability to challenge himself in this way. “If he can compete with the best bowler in the world, his own bowling will soar,” he continued.
Gautam Gambhir signs a contract to coach Team India
Team India’s new head coach, Gautam Gambhir, has been appointed. The seasoned coach, who has no prior coaching experience, guided the Kolkata Knight Riders to their third IPL championship in May 2024.
Notably, a white-ball tour to Sri Lanka scheduled to begin on July 26 will be his first duty as coach. Recall that earlier this year, the 42-year-old resigned from his role as a Member of Parliament to devote all of his attention to cricket.
