One fan’s dedication shines as brightly as the stadium floodlights in the colourful world of Indian Premier League (IPL) fervour. 103-year-old S Ramdas is a lively individual whose love for cricket and the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) is genuinely legendary.
Ramdas demonstrated the intensity of his steadfast devotion to the Yellow Brigade and the thrilling thrill of Twenty20 cricket in a heartfelt video that CSK posted. His respect for the legendary MS Dhoni, the former captain of CSK who captained the side to five IPL championships, is unbounded.
When asked how excited he was to go to Delhi to watch a CSK match, Ramdas said, “I will walk all the way to Delhi.” His eyes gleamed. Although CSK has many passionate supporters, none have the same fervour as Ramdas, whose recollections of Dhoni’s leadership are etched in their memory.

Ramdas, who will soon turn 104, is still seen as a representation of the unwavering love for cricket, particularly the fast-paced T20 format. When the prospect of meeting MS Dhoni is raised, he enthusiastically responds, “Absolutely,” his fervour visible even on film.
Ramdas talked back to his cricketing days, recalling how he had liked the game even as a child despite being afraid of getting hit. He had happy memories of bowling but acknowledged that he had never really played. He like watching cricket on TV, especially the T20 matches because of how fast-paced they are.
“I had a cricket passion while I was in school. However, I was also terrified of being struck. I bowled once.Although I adore the game, I am terrified to play it. I watch it on television. Games with 20 overs end swiftly. They don’t linger. It’s good, he remarked.
