An Instagram photo of Mirabai Chanu and Jeremy Lalrinnunga and Achinta Sheuli, two CWG Gold medalists, has gone viral

The Indian team competing in the weightlifting competition at these Commonwealth Games has taken home the most medals overall. Sanket Sargar brought home the first medal for the nation after earning a silver medal, and Mirabai Chanu ended up getting a gold medal on the same day. Both victories occurred on the same day. Additionally, Jeremy Lalrinnunga and Achinta Sheuli ended up winning the gold medal, which brought delight to the entirety of the nation.

On Wednesday, Mirabai Chanu posted a picture to her Instagram account in which she is seen posing alongside her fellow gold medal winners, Jeremy Lalrinnunga and Achinta Sheuli. “The golden trio,” she wrote as the caption for the post.

More than 39,000 people have liked the post, and it has been retweeted more than 2,000 times.

At the currently ongoing Commonwealth Games, Mirabai Chanu won the gold medal in the women’s 49 kilogramme category by lifting a combined total of 201 kilogrammes.

On the other side, Lalrinnunga made history when he won a gold medal by breaking the record for the combined weight lifted in the men’s 67 kilogramme category, which was 300 kilogrammes.

In reference to Sheuli, the 20-year-old Sheuli had shattered the Games record by lifting a combined total of 313 kilogrammes in order to win the gold medal.

It is essential to keep in mind that the young athlete smashed the Games record for the Snatch round not once, but twice, lifting 140 kg and 143 kg respectively. After that, he went on to lift 166 kilogrammes and 170 kilogrammes in the clean and jerk round, which enabled him to achieve a Games record for the overall weight.

At the currently taking place Commonwealth Games, India has amassed a total of 18 medals, including five gold. In terms of the total number of medals, they are currently in eighth place.
