Virat Kohli took a cute photo with his wife Anushka Sharma and posted it to social media. In the photograph, they appear to be having a good time together.
When the image was taken, it appeared that the two people were on a beach and they were smiling for the camera.
Kohli included a smiling face and a heart emoji in his tweet when he shared it on social media. While some fans posted heart emojis, others jokingly demanded that Virat Kohli return to the practise nets so that he could score a century in the upcoming third one-day international match against Sri Lanka. This match will take place on Sunday at Greenfield International Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram.
As India gets ready to play Sri Lanka in the third one-day international, all eyes will be on Virat Kohli to see how he performs. In the first one-day international, Kohli had scored 113 runs off 87 balls.
It was his 45th century in one-day international cricket, and he is now only four such knocks away from equaling Sachin Tendulkar’s record of 49 tonnes in the format.
Kohli is aiming for yet another major milestone before the third one-day international. It will take him only 63 more runs to go above the previous captain of Sri Lanka, Mahela Jayawardene, and into fifth place on the list of players with the most runs scored in one-day internationals.
While Kohli has played in 258 One-Day International innings so far, Jayawardene finished his career having played in 433 innings and scoring 12,650 runs.
In addition, if Kohli manages to score another century on Sunday, he will move beyond Tendulkar (20) in the list of players who have scored the most centuries for India in one-day internationals played on Indian soil.
