In the Duleep Trophy Round 1 encounter between India A and B at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, pacer Akash Deep claimed five wickets in the second innings. After taking a 90-run lead in the first innings, the team captained by Abhimanyu Easwaran added 184 more runs in the second. If they hadn’t had so much trouble with the bat, India A’s target may have been greater.
Akash, meanwhile, took out Washington Sundar, Navdeep Saini, Easwaran, Musheer Khan, and R Sai Kishore. Easwaran was dismissed without adding to his total when Dhruv Jurel made an incredible catch to remove him from the game. On the fourth day, Sundar was dismissed by the Bengal pacer in the morning after the latter was unable to read the length and line.

As the bowler continued to wreak havoc with Kishore and Saini, Jurel once again made some excellent catches behind the stumps. Giving India A an opportunity to win the match and make a comeback, he lifted his hands as he headed back to the pavilion. But the Shubman Gill-led team had a terrible morning session at the bat, as they were 76/4 at lunch on Day 4. To win, they must score 199 runs in the final two periods.
Joyful and content with the procedure: Akash Deep
The past few years have seen great success for Akash Deep. The bowler made his debut against England in Ranchi and was called up to the Indian Test team as a result of his outstanding domestic season. The Bengal pacer talked about his journey and that he wasn’t too concerned about the outcome, instead being content with the process.

Extremely pleased and content with the outcome. I don’t give the outcome much thought. My only concern is about my ability to follow the process. In that aspect, I have been really satisfied over the past one to two years,” Akash said to JioCinema early on Day 4.
