In the ongoing Duleep Trophy match between India A and India B, which is being played at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, bowling all-rounder Akash Deep, who is now leading the bowling attack of India A, can do no wrong. Following an amazing opening over in which he took four wickets in just 27 overs while allowing just sixty runs, Akash carried on his heroics with the ball in the game’s third innings.
Shubman Gill, Akash Deep team captain, gave him a huge hug while wicketkeeper Dhruv Jurel held onto a simple hold.
In the 39th over, the right-arm bowler dismissed Washington Sundar for just nine runs, picking up his fourth wicket of the innings. The ball nipped off the juicy deck on Day 4 of the match, giving the pacers a lot of help to get through the bat-pad gap and beat Sundar all-out, on a length that was slightly fuller than the good length right around the off-stump channel. Meanwhile, the off-stump went for a walk with the bails going crazy.
