The Pakistan Cricket Team has been under heavy fire from Ahmed Shehzad for not making it past the first round of consecutive ICC competitions. The Asian powerhouse were eliminated in the opening round of the just ended T20 World Cup 2024, following their fifth-place result in the ODI World Cup last year.
with the T20 World Cup, Mohammad Rizwan amassed just 110 runs in four innings with an average of 36.66 and a strike rate of 90.90. He recently spoke with the media about Pakistan’s appalling performance in the 20-team competition. But Ahmed Shehzad was displeased with his remarks about his religious convictions. Every Muslim, according to Rizwan, represents Islam wherever they go.
“I believe that each individual represents a brand in two ways. In the event that he is a Muslim, he travels the world representing Islam. Secondly, he represents Pakistan’s brand. We don’t give a damn about what people say,” Mohammad Rizwan declared.

Ahmed Shehzad took issue with cricket players like as Mohammad Rizwan use of religious arguments. In response to the veteran wicketkeeper-batter’s remarks, the former Pakistan opener unleashed a vicious onslaught.
The fact that several players are using pointless press conferences and the religion card to cover up their subpar World Cup performance is quite disheartening. When they claim to be fit but in reality were acting on the pitch, where does religion go? Does religion instruct its adherents in lying and misleading others? In Urdu, Shehzad wrote on X.

Ahmed Shehzad continued, reminding everyone that rather than being a member of a group, the players are paid to perform.
“You join the team instead of going solo because you are compensated for your on-field performance. Religion encourages us to be truthful about our suffering and to carry out our responsibilities with utmost resolve,” he went on.
The 2009 winners lost to the United States in their opening match of the T20 World Cup. India, their bitter rivals, defeated Babar Azam’s team in the next match. Despite victories against Canada and Ireland towards the end of their campaign, Pakistan was unable to advance to the Super Eights.
