In preparation for the 2019 Pakistan Super League (PSL) ninth season, Quetta Gladiators have announced Shaun Tait, a former fast bowler from Australia, as their new bowling coach. The team, under the direction of Sarfaraz Ahmed and head coach Shane Watson, will welcome his experience.
Tait is excited to be teaching a group of talented pacers that includes Muhammad Hasnain, Muhammad Wasim Jr., and Muhammad Amir. Consistent Gladiators player Hasnain will rejoin Shaun Tait, and after trades from Islamabad United and Karachi Kings, respectively, Amir and Wasim Jr. will join. He also thanked Nadeem Omar, the team owner, for the chance.
Hello to all of you. Here’s Shaun Tait. With great pleasure, I can declare that I will be coaching bowling for the Quetta Gladiators in the 2019 HBL PSL. In an official statement, Tait said, “I would like to thank Mr. Nadeem Omar for trusting me with the bowling group and bowlers like Mohammad Hasnain, Mohammad Amir, Mohammad Wasim Jr., and some real great talent.”

Following four seasons without making the playoffs, the Gladiators have reorganized their coaching staff, indicating their intention to make changes. On a one-year contract starting in February 2022, the 40-year-old, who was formerly Pakistan’s coach, had hoped for an extension but had not seen it come to pass. With the PSL scheduled from February 8 to March 24, the squad intends to take advantage of this change in coaching personnel for a new season.
Shaun Tait has vast experience against Pakistani bowlers.
The cricketer, who was born in South Australia, will be acquainted with most of the bowlers he will now coach because of his previous experience playing for Pakistan. Throughout his term, he underscored the importance of efficiently overseeing Pakistan’s fast bowlers’ workload. He expressed enthusiasm for the young talent, praising Hasnain in particular as he recovers from an ankle ailment.
Express pace bowlers are currently not capable to playing all three formats regularly. There’s no denying Hasnain’s talent to bowl quickly, but there’s also a sense of vulnerability about him. My advice to Hasnain is to simply make use of his athleticism. feeling enraged and giving that fast bowler’s grunt. In an interview with ESPNcricinfo, Tait had stated, “Just running in fast and feeling good.”
