A significant renovation is planned for Kolkata’s famous Eden Gardens in 2025 in preparation for the 2026 T20 World Cup. The defending champion Kolkata Knight Riders might relocate their base for some or all of the games to another stadium for the same reason. The construction of the international cricket stadium in Narsingarh, which is expected to cost INR 185 crore, started in 2017 and is almost ready for games. Subrata Dey, secretary of the Tripura Cricket Association, affirmed that the stadium will be completed by February 2025.
