The horrible vehicle accident that involved Rishabh Pant has captured the attention of the cricket community. Pant was driving on the Delhi-Dehradun highway in the early hours of Friday when he fell asleep at the wheel and caused his luxury car to crash into a road divider. The car caught fire after the collision, but he miraculously escaped unharmed.
The 25-year-old man, who was on his way to his hometown of Roorkee to surprise his mother, was involved in an accident in Manglaur in Uttarakhand’s Haridwar district around 5.30 in the morning, according to the police. He suffered injuries on his head, back, and feet but is currently in a stable condition, the police said.
Pant has a ligament injury in his right knee, as well as two cuts on his forehead, according to a statement released by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). In addition to that, he has sustained injuries to his right wrist, ankle, and toe, as well as abrasions on his back.
Now, a video from some years ago in which Dhawan advises Rishabh Pant to be careful while driving has been shared on social media. Pant and Dhawan can be seen donning the jerseys of their Indian Premier League (IPL) side, the Delhi Capitals, in the accompanying video.
Pant solicits Dhawan’s guidance in a matter. The experienced wicketkeeper then advises the gifted wicketkeeper-battler to drive the ball with caution.
