After Shaheen Afridi was injured, Mohammad Hasnain was called up to play in the Asia Cup

In Pakistan’s Asia Cup team, Mohammad Hasnain will take Shaheen Afridi’s position after the latter’s replacement has been announced. This fast bowler, who is 22 years old and has appeared in 18 Twenty20 Internationals, will be added to the young pace attack that already features Naseem Shah, Shahnawaz Dahani, Mohammad Wasim Jr., and Haris Rauf.

Hasnain, who made his first appearance in a Twenty20 International match in May 2019, has collected 17 wickets while maintaining an economy rate of 7.90. The fast bowler has participated in 82 Twenty20 matches, including matches for Quetta Gladiators, Sydney Thunder, and Trinbago Knight Riders, and he has taken 100 wickets while maintaining an economy rate of 8.51.

Hasnain will be joining Pakistan’s national cricket team from the United Kingdom, where he is currently playing for Oval Invincibles in The Hundred, according to an announcement made by the Pakistan Cricket Board on Monday. In the meantime, Asif Ali, Haider Ali, Iftikhar Ahmed, and Usman Qadir are planning to leave for Dubai early on Tuesday morning. They are going to take the places of Abdullah Shafique, Imam-ul-Haq, Mohammad Haris, Salman Ali Agha, and Zahid Mehmood, who were all a part of the 16-member ODI team that competed against the Netherlands.

At the Dubai International Stadium on the 28th of August, Pakistan will begin their Asia Cup campaign with a matchup versus India.

Babar Azam is the captain of the Pakistan squad, and Shadab Khan is the vice captain.
