Aditya Sarwate, an experienced all-rounder for Vidarbha, is excited to begin a new chapter in his career when he joins Kerala for the forthcoming domestic season.
Following an impressive nine-year tenure with Vidarbha, during which he was a key player in the team’s victories, Sarwate is eager to take on new challenges and chances. The Nagpur native has contributed significantly to Vidarbha’s success over his whole tenure with the team.
His first-class stats, which include 1,958 runs at an average of 27.19 and 276 wickets at an average of 19.44 from 61 matches, speak volumes about his all-around ability. As he thought back on his time with Vidarbha, he conveyed his sincere appreciation for the chances he was given.
The all-rounder who bowls spin revealed on social media that he was leaving Vidarbha. In an interview with, Sarwate further disclosed that he had left the Vidarbha team because of a disagreement with the top coaching staff and that he had relocated to Kerala for the forthcoming domestic season.
“As I am moving towards new avenues in my career, I am grateful to VCA for giving me the opportunity to represent them in different age group categories, and first class since 9 years,” he said to Instagram.

In addition, he expressed gratitude to all of the Vidarbha Cricket Association (VCA) members. Winning the Irani Trophy and the Ranji Trophy for the team consecutively was his proudest moment.
“I appreciate the confidence that all of the VCA authorities and management had in me. Winning the Irani Trophy and the Ranji Trophy back-to-back for the VCA made me feel proud. I had fun playing with each member of the squad and gained a lot of knowledge from them all. I want to express my gratitude to the support team for all of their help throughout the years,” he continued.
Sarwate had the honour of sharing the dressing room with cricket greats like Wasim Jaffer, Umesh Yadav, and Faiz Fazal during his tenure with Vidarbha.
It was always a learning experience to play with and hang out with the likes of football superstars Faiz Fazal, Wasim Jaffer, Umesh Yadav, Akshay Wakhare, and Ganesh Satish. I am grateful that the entire VCA team has contributed so much to my life. That being said, I think it’s time for me to move on. I have made the difficult decision to leave VCA in order to take advantage of the new opportunities life has provided me. “I hope VCA has the best season yet,” he said in closing.
When Vidarbha and Manipur met in Ahmedabad for the Ranji Trophy 2024, Sarwate gave one of his best performances.
Sarwate accomplished a remarkable accomplishment with the ball, bowling nine overs in which 53 dot balls were bowled, including eight straight maiden overs. Even though he gave up a six, he soon made amends by getting rid of the same batsman, Bikash Singh.
Sarwate was instrumental in Manipur being dismissed for just 75 runs in the first innings, taking four wickets to end the match.

In addition, he made a substantial contribution with the bat, tallying the best score of the innings with 69 off 82 balls. Vidarbha finished first in Group A thanks to their strong all-around performance, which allowed them earn a bonus point victory.
