Yashasvi Jaiswal, an Indian youth, has made a name for himself as one of the nation’s most sought-after talents. After an outstanding Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 season, Jaiswal broke into the national team. He has played 15 games for India in various formats and scored 636 runs.
Speaking on Yashasvi Jaiswal’s performances, renowned Indian cricket player Sunil Gavaskar came up to give him high marks. Jaiswal, who has established himself in Twenty20 international cricket, is a huge possibility for the Men in Blue going forward. Gavaskar has even called him an incredible talent.

Gavaskar continued by saying that Jaiswal may eventually play all formats for the Indian team. The 21-year-old has already made his debut in two formats, but he hasn’t yet participated in an ODI match. It will be intriguing to watch whether that changes in the future.
“All he has to do is look at the ball and hit it; he does this really effectively. He has also scored a century in Test cricket. Thus, Gavaskar stated, “He is a good all-format prospect for India.”
Team India is now on a month-long trip to South Africa, where they will be facing the Proteas. Notably, the series will conclude with three Twenty20 Internationals, three One-Day Internationals, and two Test matches between the two countries.
On Sunday, December 10, they were supposed to play the inaugural Twenty20 International at Kingsmead Stadium. However, rain decided to play spoiler, making the toss implausible, therefore the match was canceled. On Tuesday, December 12, both teams will resume the series at the St. George’s Oval in Port Elizabeth for the second Twenty20 International.
