Adam Zampa, a spin bowler for Rajasthan Royals (RR), praised senior spin bowlers Ravichandran Ashwin and Yuzvendra Chahal for their ability to adapt to different conditions and read the game. Ashwin and Chahal are both having great seasons with the ball for the Royals in the IPL 2023 season that is going on right now.
Adam Zampa, who works for the Men in Pink right now, said something interesting while praising his teammates. The Australian bowler said that Ashwin and Chahal don’t have “mystery,” but that they make up for it by planning hard.
“Both Ravichandran Ashwin and Yuzvendra Chahal are good bowlers who use their brains. They aren’t as mysterious as the IPL, but those guys have put a lot of work into planning. Ashwin can adjust to different fields, and Chahal is very skilled and can read hitters well, as NDTV quoted Adam Zampa as saying.
Chahal is in the running for the IPL Purple Cap right now because he has taken 21 wickets in 13 matches, with a best spell of 4/17. Chahal also broke Dwayne Bravo’s long-standing record, passing him as the player with the most wickets in the history of the rich T20 league with 187 scalps in 144 games. Ashwin, on the other hand, has 14 wickets in 13 games for the club, which is a good average of 7.51.
Rajasthan is still in the running for the postseason.
After the huge loss to Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), Sanju Samson and the rest of his team are in sixth place on the IPL Points Table with 12 points from 13 games and a Net Run Rate (NRR) of 0.140.
Even though RCB’s 112-run win hurt Rajasthan’s hopes of making the playoffs, they are still in the running for the top four spots. But the team will need to beat Punjab Kings in their last group game on Friday, May 19, and rely on how other teams do.
