Afghanistan’s (ACB) remarkable recent transformation
Now that Afghanistan is a formidable opponent in 2024, teams are preparing for the Asian country in a different way. First, the team advanced to the T20 World Cup 2024 semifinals, where they faced South Africa in their first-ever knockout game in an ICC competition. But lately, the Proteas were hosted by the Hashmatullah Shahidi-led team in Sharjah for three 50-over matches.
Unexpectedly surpassing everyone’s predictions, the hosts went on to defeat South Africa 2-1, adding a significant chapter to their nascent international history.
