Aakash Chopra's severe assessment on RCB prior to their match with UP Warriorz: "They will never win again."

Aakash Chopra, a former India cricketer, made a fairly frank remark about Royal Challengers Bangalore’s Women’s Premier League (WPL) troubles prior to their upcoming match against UP Warriorz. The match is scheduled to take place on March 15 at the Dr. DY Patil Sports Academy in Navi Mumbai.

Despite their star-studded lineup, Smriti Mandhana’s RCB have not yet secured a victory in five matches. The team’s woes on the field could result in a wooden spoon if the team is unable to turn its fortunes around. Former cricketer Aakash Chopra made a candid statement about their WPL campaign, stating that RCB “will not” win.

“It is a crucial match for both teams, but I do not believe RCB will win again. Smriti Mandhana has submitted a friend request to form, but it has not been accepted. This is a concern for RCB. She will have Sophie Ecclestone and Deepti Sharma in front of her but despite that, I feel the friend request will be granted today,” Aakash remarked on his YouTube channel.
Practically speaking, their tournament is over: Aakash Chopra
After being annihilated by Delhi Caps in their last match, RCB suffered their sixth consecutive defeat. Importantly, qualification to the Elimination round may be out of reach, and RCB’s chances of finishing in the top three depend on a variety of conditions. Nonetheless, Aakash believes that the five losses have severely damaged their campaign and that their season is effectively over.

“Smriti Mandhana’s fortunes are deteriorating, as are those of RCB. They have played five matches without a single victory. Practically speaking, their tournament is over. They will not advance, but they can ruin someone’s party,” he continued.

Nonetheless, RCB has a remote possibility of qualifying if it wins its next three games. In addition, the top two teams, Mumbai and Delhi, defeat Gujarat Giants and UP Warriorz in their respective matchups. RCB will also need Gujarat to defeat UP Warriorz in order to finish in the top three.
