Yashasvi Jaiswal should use the willow with more caution, according to former Indian cricketer Aakash Chopra, during Wednesday’s Rajasthan Royals (RR) vs. Gujarat Titans (GT) match at Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur.
In the Indian Premier League (IPL) of the previous year, Jaiswal reached his prime scoring 625 runs from 14 matches at an incredible average of 48.08 and a phenomenal strike rate of 163.61. Soon after his spectacular IPL career, the southpaw made his Test and Twenty20 international debut for India, amassing a massive run total.
Although it was anticipated that the RR hitter would excel in the current IPL season, he has sadly not been able to get even close to his potential. The 22-year-old has scored 39 runs in his first four games, including a duck against Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the most recent contest.
In the meantime, former cricket player turned pundit Chopra recommended that Jaiswal temper his aggression in the forthcoming match against Gujarat.
“The player I want to highlight is my brother Yashasvi Jaiswal, who has been with me for many matches and has grown even more since the first game. In a video posted on his YouTube channel, he explained, “If they want to play Joshua Little or Spencer Johnson, they might get a left-arm pacer in this team, given the way you are getting out against them when they bowl short balls.”
Therefore, they might bowl short balls to annoy you once more. Because no one has mentioned it thus far, please proceed with a little caution. I continue to maintain that, given your performance in the first seven matches, there is no reason to dispute your inclusion in the T20 World Cup. But people will say things; that’s their job, the former Indian opener continued.
Riyan Parag is the second player I perceive as being focused on this specific game: Aakash Chopra
Rashid Khan and Noor Ahmad provide the Titans with a potent spin-bowling threat, as Chopra pointed out. There’s also a chance that R Sai Kishore will be selected for this match. The 46-year-old predicted that Riyan Parag, who is currently in form, will be crucial in the middle overs when facing the spinners.
Because the other team will be throwing a lot of spin at you, Riyan Parag is the second player I have my eye on for this specific game. It won’t be a huge concern if they play Sai Kishore in this match as well; Rashid Khan and Noor Ahmad would be there in that, Aakash Chopra clarified.
Then, stability in the intermediate order will be required. You will have to go to Indian players if you need to somewhat minimize spin. That player will be Riyan Parag, in my opinion. Thus, we’ll find out whether or not we may witness Parag’s fire,” he continued.

Nandre Burger was then mentioned by Aakash Chopra as the third player targeted by the inaugural IPL champions. The rookie to the ten-team league, the South African speedster, has already left his impact. He has taken six wickets at 20.67 in four games.
The biggest player on the other team is positioned at the top. At the very top is the cream. Shubman Gill, Kane Williamson, Sai Sudharsan, and Wriddhiman Saha are among them; if healthy, Saha would play. So, if you have to launch the first assault, go for Trent Boult or Nandre Burger. He said, “I’m going with Nandre Burger because he has a little bit more pace.”
