On October 6, Varun Chakravarthy returned to the Indian team for the first Twenty20 International match against Bangladesh in Gwalior, following a three-year break. In Gwalior, he took three wickets, and in the second Twenty20 International, he took two wickets while giving up 19 runs. He joined the Kolkata Knight Riders in 2020 and has been a vital member of the team ever since.
Varun’s chances of making it to the national team have changed for the better now that Gautam Gambhir, the former coach of the Kolkata Knight Riders, is leading the Indian squad.
