Aakash Chopra, a former Indian cricket player, recently praised Nitish Kumar Reddy, the all-round player for Sunrisers Hyderabad.
In the 23rd match of the Indian Premier League (2024), the 20-year-old produced a fantastic effort against Punjab Kings, striking 64 runs in 37 deliveries to aid SRH in posting 182 in the first innings. Even in the second innings, when his team prevailed by two runs, the youthful player claimed a wicket.
After seeing his performance, Aakash Chopra was really impressed and thought back to his days as a mere net bowler with the Chennai Super Kings.
“The Hyderabad batsmen made early mistakes. At one point, it looked like even 150 may be challenging. Nevertheless, Nitish Reddy. In a video posted on his YouTube account, Chopra said, “He was a net bowler with Chennai until last year. He hit a six off the last ball to win the last match against Chennai, and here too he scored runs and decent runs.”
“The child bats fairly well. He is powerful. Very few Indian finishers were seen in the tournament’s first fifteen years. For this reason, the highest bidder at the auction will receive an enormous price. But now, athletes like Ashutosh Sharma, Shivam Dube, Shashank Singh, and Rahul Tewatia are visible. Nitish Kumar Reddy can remain on the same list as well,” he continued.
