Was unable to comprehend what Rajasthan done. – Aakash Chopra discusses Rajasthan’s dismal defeat to Gujarat.

The Rajasthan Royals, led by Sanju Samson, took on the Gujarat Titans, the current league champions, in the 48th game of the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 on Friday, May 5.

The Gujarat bowling assault destroyed the home team’s batting order in the first innings. Rashid Khan and Noor Ahmad bowled outstanding periods, which resulted in Rajasthan being bowled out for a pitiful 118 runs. Gujarat dominated the opposition during the run chase, winning by nine wickets because to outstanding performances from Wriddiman Saha, Shubman Gill, and captain Hardik Pandya.

Aakash Chopra, a former cricketer for India, spoke up about the game after the team’s humbling defeat. He even thought Rajasthan were destroyed by the reigning champions and that the game was incredibly dull.

“It was a very dull kind of contest. unable to comprehend what Rajasthan done. India has been destroyed. After winning the toss, they decided to bat, but did they actually bat? Rajasthan only amassed 118 runs. The batting was quite unimpressive. Even though Sanju (Samson) scored a few runs, the game was already lopsided. In the first six overs of their bowling, they failed to take a single wicket, according to Aakash Chopra’s YouTube video.

This game was completely beyond my comprehension: Chopra
Aakash Chopra also questioned why Sanju Samson did not use spinners during the powerplay given that spin bowling was responsible for destroying their batting order during the first innings. He even continued by claiming that he had no idea what the game was all about.

Rajasthan’s only wicket-taker throughout the run chase, Yuzvendra Chahal, dismissed the in-form Shubman Gill, but it was in vain as Gujarat’s skipper Hardik Pandya’s blazing knock after the loss of the first wicket powered Gujarat to a convincing victory.

“Spin wrecked you, but in the first six overs, you didn’t bowl a single over with spin. Ravichandran Ashwin was your pick in the 12th or 13th over. How do you behave? This match was really beyond my comprehension, remarked Chopra.
