On August 15, 1947, India gained its independence from the terrible 200-year British domination. As a result, schools and other institutions all around India traditionally celebrate the historic day with a number of cultural events and flag raisings. In addition, every child proudly sings the national anthem, giving off chills and demonstrating the genuine essence of patriotism while honouring the lives lost by our country’s freedom fighters.
Today, cricket has a special position in nationalistic celebrations of triumph, and both players and supporters never miss an opportunity to display their patriotism. Prominent Indian athletes occasionally express their joy in representing their country while also remembering to impart the proper ideals to the next generation. As so, they serve as an inspiration to their children as well as to all of their young followers.
Aairah Shami, the daughter of pacer Mohammed Shami and his estranged wife Hasin Jahan, was also spotted dancing to the well-known patriotic song “Vande Mataram” on the occasion of India’s Independence Day in 2024. Aairah was also wearing a stunning saree with a tri-colored pattern. Her mother, notably, sent a cute video to social media. Daughter Aairah is pictured politely following every step with ease and not missing a beat of the song.

Speaking of the fiery Indian pacer Mohammed Shami, he has been sidelined ever since sustaining an ankle ailment. He underwent a successful surgery, and he has spent several months recovering. He was expected to participate in the forthcoming Duleep Trophy to demonstrate his match fitness before making a return to the national team, but the Indian board BCCI left him off in order to likely give him the time to properly heal.
