At Chepauk, it may be said that play interruptions have become commonplace. A stray dog wandered onto the playing field during India’s match against Australia in the third one-day international of their just finished three-match one-day international series.
Similar to how a stray dog again found its way onto the playing field as supporters at Chepauk waited impatiently for the Chennai vs Lucknow game to begin on Monday, April 3, the start of the game was delayed as a result.
But, the grounds crew quickly succeeded in chasing it away, and after a brief pause in action, the game finally started.
