In November of this year, the United Arab Emirates will host a seven-match Youth Tri-Series in which the Afghanistan U19 National Team will compete.
The Youth tri-series is scheduled to start on Wednesday, November 13 and end on Tuesday, November 26. The series will aid the teams in getting ready for the following day’s ACC Men’s U19 Asia Cup. The locations of the Asia Cup and the Youth Tri-Series are still pending. The young players from the three teams will also receive excellent exposure throughout the series.
On November 13, UAE will play Pakistan in the opening match. On November 15, Afghanistan and Pakistan will play their second match. On November 17, the UAE will play Afghanistan. On November 19, Pakistan and Afghanistan will play.
Afghanistan’s match against UAE is scheduled for November 21. The UAE-Pakistan match is scheduled for November 23. This is the last league game before the Tuesday, November 26 decider between the two best teams from the six-match group stage.
“The series provides an excellent preparation opportunity for the three teams ahead of the ACC Men’s U19 Asia Cup,” said Mudassar Nazar, Director of the National Academy and Head Coach of the UAE Men’s U19 team. The UAE had a fantastic run in the Asia Cup last year, competing in the championship match against cricketing heavyweights like India, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka. It was a very amazing accomplishment.
“Young cricket players use U19 events as a stepping stone and to better understand the demands of professional cricket.” These two events will undoubtedly aid in the development and nurturing of our talented young cricket players, who are poised to lead UAE cricket in the years to come.
“We are thrilled to be participating in the U19 tri-series alongside Pakistan and the UAE,” said Naseeb Khan, chief executive officer of the Afghanistan Cricket Board. Our young cricket players will have a fantastic platform to acquire essential exposure and competitive experience thanks to this tournament.
Our Future Stars lineup has been going through intense training as we build and get ready for the team for the big events coming up, like the ACC Men’s U19 Asia Cup. We are confident that this series will significantly advance their development and prepare them for the upcoming tasks.
“We are delighted that the Pakistan Men’s U19 team will be participating in a highly competitive U19 tri-series in the UAE just before the ACC Men’s U19 Asia Cup,” said Usman Wahla, Director of PCB International Cricket. The young players will have a fantastic opportunity to develop and hone their talents thanks to this.
