After the Indian pacer’s amazing performance in the T20 World Cup 2024, Ramiz Raja praised Jasprit Bumrah. The former cricket player for Pakistan praised Bumrah as an all-time great.
Ramiz briefly strayed from his topic of discussion about Pakistan’s seam-bowling resources and brought up Bumrah’s remarkable progress. With an astounding average of 8.27 and an economy rate of 4.18, the right-arm bowler finished with 15 wickets in eight games, playing a major part in India’s successful T20 World Cup campaign. He received Player of the Tournament recognition for his outstanding performance.
“Jasprit Bumrah is a legend in all three formats, in my opinion. Nobody is more experienced in all three formats than him. “You can see where this boy came from, he lacked confidence and had an awkward bowling action,” Ramiz posted on his YouTube account. “To aap dekh rahe hai, ek ladka kaha se utha hai, usme confidence nahi tha, uska awkward bowling action hai.”
The cricketer-turned-commentator continued, “He was unfit, but he came back, and now he has made India win the World Cup.”
Three icons of Indian cricket, Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and Ravindra Jadeja, stepped down from Twenty20 international cricket after the Men in Blue defeated South Africa to win the T20 World Cup final on June 29. When Bumrah got back to India, people started asking him about his retirement. For his Indian followers, the 30-year-old sent a heartwarming update, stating that he has no plans to retire anytime soon.
“My retirement is a very long way off. I’ve only recently begun. Hopefully, everything is already far behind us,” the seamen from Ahmedabad stated.
